A few years ago, Xiaomi launched a new sub-brand called Poco, and its first smartphone was the Poco F1. The same smartphone was released internationally as the Poco phone F1. Poco is now a distinct brand and is no longer a Xiaomi subsidiary. The fundamental USP of viewing Poco as a brand is that it takes very little from Xiaomi’s MIUI. Let’s take a look at the POCO Launcher features that will make using it more enjoyable overall.

5 Hide Apps
6 Modifying the Home Screen’s Transition Effects

9 Swipe Quickly in the App Drawer

This means that it has a user interface, which is similar to MIUI but distinct in many ways. The Poco launcher, which is more similar to the Stock Android launcher, is one of the differences between Xiaomi’s MIUI and Poco UI, also known as MIUI for Poco.

Organize Apps Based on Categories

To add an app manually to a particular category:

  • Open the category where you want to add apps.
  • Long-press on the space inside Poco Launcher to enter editing mode.
  • Now, you can select any app while the apps that are already inside the category will be shown as selected.
  • Once selected, these apps will be shown in that particular category

Add Or Remove App Categories

To add or remove app categories, you will have to go inside Poco Launcher’s Settings.

  • To go inside Poco Launcher’s Settings, long-press on a space inside the home screen and click on Settings at the bottom.
  • You will see a section named “Manage App Categories”.
  • Click on this section to go inside.
  • A list of all the app categories currently present on your launcher will be shown as seen above.
  • Next to these categories, you will see a cross icon as well as a three-bar icon for rearranging them in order.
  • If you want to remove the categories, just click on the “X” icon and you can add categories from the “+” icon at the top.

Display Alphabets for Scrolling Instead of Scroll Bar

  1. Go to Poco Launcher Settings.
  2. Open the App Drawer section.
  3. Tap on the Scroll bar and select the A-Z option.
  4. That’s it. Your scroll bar will now be replaced with alphabets.

Advanced Search Inside the Launcher

Advanced search is unquestionably one of Poco Launcher’s best features. If you do not have access to such an app on your phone, you can use Poco Launcher to conduct keyword searches. It will look through the web to find every one of the occurrences of that specific application or term.

On your Poco Launcher, you must enable the advanced search option. To do this, go to your launcher’s Settings and scroll down to find the “In-app search” option. To view advanced search results within your launcher, enable this.

Poco Launcher 4

Hide Apps

A feature that is frequently requested is the ability to hide applications within your launcher. Now, if you don’t want people to see which apps are installed on your device, this feature might be helpful for your privacy. You can hide apps with Poco Launcher, and you can then show the hidden apps in your main list by swiping right twice inside the launcher.

To stow away applications, you need to swipe right on your launcher application cabinet. Then, at that point, you will see a screen where you can add applications that will be stowed away from the Alter symbol at the top. To view and even display hidden apps, you must follow the same procedure.

The Poco launcher includes the following additional features to enhance the overall experience:

Modifying the Home Screen’s Transition Effects

The Poco launcher is one of the few OEM launchers that lets you change the home screen’s transition effects. To use this feature, simply go to the home screen, click Settings, then Transition effects, and then choose the one you want.

Third-Party Icon Packs

The Poco launcher is one of the few OEM launchers that support third-party icon packs, making it ideal for power users. It also supports third-party launcher icons and features. To use the Poco launcher with your favorite icon pack, you must first install it on your device. Then, go to the launcher settings by pressing the space on your home screen for a moment, and clicking More, and you will see the option to apply your favorite icon pack.

Organize apps by color

You can organize applications by color using the Poco launcher, in addition to organizing them into categories. After applying it, you will notice color dots at the bottom of the app drawer. By clicking on a particular color, you can view the applications organized by that color. App icons with the same color will be grouped. Navigate to Launcher Settings, select App Drawer, and then enable the Group icons by a color checkbox to enable this feature.

Swipe Quickly in the App Drawer

Poco lets you swipe quickly in the app drawer. You can use it to get in and out more quickly. This is one of the best features, along with the alphabet in the drawer.

Simply follow these steps to use it:

Step 1: With the parchment bar on the right side, swipe right to continue on the screen rapidly. Every time you use this phone feature, a small vibration will be generated.

Step 2: You can change it in the settings section to turn it off.

Lastly, Swipe Quickly one of the fastest features in the entire Poco phone manual is this one.
