Fall detection now available for Pixel Watch users

Google recently rolled out the January 2023 security patch update for the Pixel 4a, 4a 5G, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, and 7 Pro. Through this update, Google is officially bringing “Spatial Audio” to the Pixel 6 (Pro), 7 (Pro), and Buds Pro.

Now it is the turn of the Pixel Watch. Let’s talk about the launch of the Pixel Watch, at that time, Google had announced that Pixel Watch should be able to detect accidents in the future. According to the latest report, fall detection is now available for all Pixel Watch users.

For example, if you are wearing the Pixel Watch and you have fallen, then this feature will work. Google had said that this facility would start in the coming winter season, and Google did so.

Pixel Watch Fall Detection:

“In an emergency, your Google Pixel Watch can alert selected contacts or call 911. And accident detection helps you to call the emergency services if you have a bad fall.” Fall detection and international emergency calling are not available in all areas. International emergency calling feature requires Google Pixel Watch with 4G LTE.

Fall detection, Emergency SOS, and international emergency calling are dependent upon network connectivity and other factors and may not be reliable for emergency communications or available in all areas or languages. Fall detection may not detect all falls. Auto-dialing to emergency services is not available in all countries. See g.co/pixelwatch/personalsafety for more details.

Note: You will get the option of fall detection in the settings of the watch app on your smartphone.
