Chrome now supports Material You address bar redesign and Google Maps work on Sense 2 and Versa 4

Today, the latest news has come about two Google products, let’s check.

Chrome Supports Material You Address Bar Redesign

According to the latest report, now the Chrome browser on Android supports the Material You address bar redesign that adds more dynamic colors. When you tap on the Omnibox, you’ll find that the new shape is slightly longer and more rectangular, and the content is tailored to you.

Now you will see that when you search for something, the bottom suggestions are no longer just text on light/dark background. Rather, each is now placed on a card whose background is lighter than the rest of the screen.

Note: If it’s not live yet for you, use the flag: chrome://flags/#omnibox-modernize-visual-update.

Google Maps Work on Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4

Google Maps debuted on the Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 back in December last year, but the Google Maps app is now fully working. When you open Google Maps on the Fitbit Versa 4 or Sense 2 it shows the “current trip” from your phone (if navigation is enabled).

At the bottom of this list is “Pause Navigation on Watch” if you want to return to the main Maps screen, and “Exit” to end turn-by-turn on your phone. You can note duration, distance, average, BPM (avg + max), calories burned, steps, incline and zone minutes on your stride with Activity Recap.

Note: People who downloaded Google Maps late last year will see the tile again and won’t have to go through that process again.
