Google publication of a comprehensive French repair manual for the Pixel 6a in July of that year. The company has since released repair manuals for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, but only to owners in France.
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Manual
The support article titled “Learn more about the Pixel Repair Manual” below is only available to residents of France. A message stating “Sorry, this page could not be found” will be displayed when viewing from any other location in the world. That wasn’t always the case in July of last year.
“You can use the Pixel repair manual to try to fix issues you’re having with your phone, and to service it,” it explains. It explains how to “repair a damaged Pixel phone using genuine parts,” step by step. take apart and reassemble your Pixel phone; replace and remove components; preserve the environment and extend the life of your phone.”

There are now repair manuals for the Pixel 7 (173 pages) and Pixel 7 Pro, following the Pixel 6a. They have diagrams and live images of the assembly and disassembly process, making them very detailed. Common issues by component are listed in one section. A reparability index must be provided by smartphone and other device manufacturers in France starting at the beginning of 2021. This is a score out of ten that manufacturers give themselves based on percentages. One of the criteria for smartphones is that they have published documentation. As summarized by iFixit:
Documentation: All the data provided by the manufacturer such as serial numbers and references, disassembly diagrams, technical instruction manuals, software, diagnostics, etc.
