A Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 user is experiencing battery drain issue

Samsung issued the One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the United States in February 2023. The most recent software upgrade was released, with the firmware ending in CWAC. Following that, the business issued the March 2023 security patch update, which included the software version F9360ZSS2CWBA. It comes with the March 2023 security patch.

According to a Samsung Z Fold 4 US user, his folding phone’s battery is rapidly depleting without use. “After updating my Fold 4 to 5.1 and also the March security update (F9360ZSS2CWBA), my phone has a very major battery issue,” he wrote. I charged my phone to 100% before going to bed, and it was down to 47% to 53% after 6 hours of sleep. I didn’t even look at my phone. Ordinarily, I don’t need to charge my phone throughout the day, but after 6 months of using it, I’ve had to charge it four times with the same work routine.”

It was previously noted that the power draining issue with One UI 5.1 emerged while using the Samsung Keyboard. Samsung’s live chat support offers cleaning the cache and data for the Samsung Keyboard app and rebooting the phone as a solution. To delete the Samsung Keyboard cache, navigate to Settings > Applications > Storage and select the Clear Cache option. Repeat the instructions and tap the Clear Data icon to clear Data.
