Android 13 QPR3 Beta 1 goes live

The next wave of beta upgrades for our June release is part of the ongoing Android 13 Beta. They are distributed to Google Pixel devices as a part of Feature Drops and are referred to as Quarterly Platform Releases (QPRs). In addition to the enhancements in the most recent March Feature Drop release, Android 13 QPR3 Beta 1 (T3B1.230224.005) also offers new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements. Please read the most recent release notes for further information.

Up until the start of Android 14 Beta, Android 13 QPR3 Beta will be available. When Android 14 Beta 1 becomes available, those taking part in the QPR3 beta will automatically receive an over-the-air (OTA) update. There is no need for a separate program opt-in. As the release date for the Android 14 beta approaches, we’ll give more details.

Top resolved issues:

  • Fixed an issue where the clock text on the lock screen was the wrong color.
  • Fixed an issue where Bluetooth audio wasn’t working on some devices.

  • In some cases when a work profile is switched on or off, the device reboots instead.
  • The list of Recent apps sometimes becomes unresponsive if the screen orientation is changed while the list is open.

Otherwise:

  • Android 13 QPR3 Beta 1 (T3B1.230224.005) includes the updates in the latest public March Feature Drop release plus additional features, bug fixes, and performance optimizations.
