Samsung News will replace Samsung Free

You are not the only person who has wondered what Samsung Free is. It was added out of the blue to devices with One UI 3.0, leaving many users unsure of what it was and where it came from.

It is a content aggregator that unites live television, podcasts, news articles, interactive games, and other forms of media into a single location. As the name implies, Samsung Free offers all of its content for free. Swiping left on the Home screen launches Samsung Free. The function is still available, but it is now called Samsung News.

Samsung Free is now known as Samsung News

The feature is rebranded in this way. From now on, Samsung News will replace Samsung Free. The “Read” and “Listen” tabs are combined in the new experience. It will also place a greater emphasis on news content, making it simpler for smartphone users to locate and interact with news.

The fact that the “Watch” and “Play” tabs will no longer be available as part of this rebrand is yet another indication that Samsung intends to concentrate primarily on news with this update. Through the Samsung TV Plus and Game Launcher apps, it will continue to provide free games and television.

It appears that Samsung wants the feature to be perceived as a rival to Google Discover. It is not yet clear assuming that this is how it will end up being. When the Samsung Free app is updated after version 6.0.1, Samsung News will be available. Starting on April 18, Samsung will release this update sequentially.
