Sundar Pichai gave a hint of Google I/O on May 10 in his prepared comment after Alphabet reported Q1 2023 earnings this afternoon.
We’ll share updates at Google I/O about how we are using Al across our products, including our Pixel devices, and share some exciting new developments for Android.
The fact that Google I/O 2023 will feature an Ai-heavy keynote was already rumored, so Pichai’s brief preview doesn’t come as a surprise.
There are rumors that the Pixel 7a, Tablet, and Fold will be announced at I/O. It was interesting to tie Pixel directly to AI, and it is unknown if those devices will receive any new AI-powered features.

In the meantime, exciting new documents for Android are another fact. In addition to receiving Beta 2 with some of those hoped-for live changes, we should learn about Android 14’s major tentpoles.

The current previews have yet to hint at anything significant. Pichai tweeted a picture of the executive team getting ready for the call before the keynote.
