Google’s Fuchsia OS now comes to Nest Hub 2nd Gen

The second-generation Nest Hub is now getting a Fuchsia-based update. It will become the third official device where a homegrown operating system runs. This second-generation Nest Hub launched in 2021 and currently receives the Fuchsia update on its own.

In this device, this new update begins with the previous Program updates in the Google Home app. This update is widely available to all users when its testing is complete in a few months.

If you want your Nest Hub(2nd Gen) devices updated or not you need to check the version in the Google Home app list. When the Technical information page shows then you will know about the version in the Setting lists.

Fuchsia is a long-term project to create a general-purpose, open source operating system, which we have been developing in the open for years. This is part of those continued efforts, and fuchsia.dev will have the latest information on the team’s work.
