Google Calendar, Weather, and more redesigns for tablet

Google now working on updating 50 apps for the large screen after announcing the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold. Several redesigned apps are launched now and some apps like Google Calendar, Play Store, and Weather will come with more improvements.

They make the Google Calendar layout more adaptive so the user can see data on a large screen easily. On Fodables and Tablets there you will now see the top navigation bar for switching between different day, week, and month views. This change only makes for the large screen like foldable and tablets, not for smartphones.

On the left, you will get a preview of the full month and a list/more details at the right. You will get a full-column view on the large screen.

The app also smoothly transitions from a foldable phone’s front screen through to the inner screen.

In the redesign of Google Weather users can save cities that show in a life sidebar and information show in a rectangular square card. For large screen Play Store layout also enlarge and user can see trailer and videos of games on listings.

Play’s homepage recommendations will soon highlight optimized large screen apps and you will see editorial collections of apps that work well with tablet specific features like stylus and split screen.
