BMW extends its electric car lineup

In starting of this summer, BMW will expand its electric vehicle lineup in the US. BMW ensured that they would include a new i4 version and the 7th series, will receive a new electrified version and the i7 could have another powertrain.

The new version of the BMW OS 8.5 will release to some models at the beginning of July. With i4 xDrive40, the xDrive40 trim makes its place in the US. It is different than the eDrive40, that trim has two electric motors providing an all-wheel-drive setup. The power increased to 396 hp, and the torque sits at 443 lb-ft(602Nm), from eDrive40. These details convert 0 to 60mph in 4.9 seconds which shows an estimated range of 307 miles (494km).

When they brought th i7 M70xDrive, the company bring a bit less powerful version to the US lineup. In this year’s third quarter i7 eDrive50 will be introduced.
