WhatsApp will now convert itself into Telegram. WhatsApp is working on a username feature, allowing users to choose unique usernames for their accounts.
Earlier WhatsApp introduced communities that are the same as Telegram channels but WhatsApp does not have any feature to search globally for users or channels.
Now WhatsApp may offer users the ability to reach other people by entering a username within the app, without knowing their phone numbers. This will help in better privacy which Telegram is already offering for years.
The feature is under development currently and will be available inside WhatsApp Settings –> Profile.
