June 09/2023: Samsung has recently rolled out the June 2023 security update for its flagship foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4, in the United States. Building on this, the company has now extended the release of the same update to both carrier-locked and unlocked versions of its popular Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 models within the country.

In the case of the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 3, users can expect to receive the update labeled with firmware version F711USQS4FWE5. On the other hand, owners of the unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will receive the update accompanied by firmware version F711U1UES4FWE1. Similarly, the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be upgraded to the latest security update through firmware version F926USQS3FWE5, while the unlocked variant will receive firmware version F926U1UES3FWE1.

The availability of the update covers most carrier networks for the unlocked models of both smartphones, although some carriers have already released the update specifically for the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3.

For users in possession of a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the United States, accessing the new update is a straightforward process. By navigating to the Settings menu, selecting the Software Update option, and then tapping on Download and Install, users can easily obtain the update over the air. Alternatively, users can also choose to manually download the relevant firmware file from Samsung’s database and install it themselves.

With this latest security update, Samsung aims to enhance the overall safety and protection of its Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 devices, ensuring a more secure and reliable user experience for its customers.
