Microsoft previews a large number of new features coming to the Edge Insider beta

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft just announced on the What’s Next page on the Edge Insider website that testers will soon usher in a large number of new features. From the processing of PDF documents to changes in the function of tab grouping to the adjustment of stores and certain policies, the new roadmap has given a clear plan. As for when these new features will arrive in the stable channel, it is currently unknown.

At the same time, the PDF viewing and marking experience will also usher in improvements. Users can add free-form highlighters to highlight the parts of the PDF that users do not have the right to comment on, as well as scanned documents.

In addition, starting from the Edge 94 version, notifications from PWA applications will no longer be displayed as from the Microsoft Edge browser, but the report will display the name of the PWA application.

However, in order to keep users’ attention, starting from the Edge 92 version, Microsoft has changed the auto-play setting of media from the default allowed to restricted.

In addition, by enabling the Allow access only to permitted sites mode, parents will be able to see an option to add the list of educational sites to the whitelist with one click.
