After several months of publicity, Google will soon launch Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones equipped with custom Tensor chips. Although the appearance and some specifications of the camera have been announced, XDA-Developers has further shared some details about the camera hardware. For example, Pixel 6 will use a front 12MP selfie camera, and a 50MP Samsung GN1 main sensor + 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and Pixel 6 Pro will add a 48MP periscope lens that supports 4X zoom.

In terms of functions, thanks to the custom chip, the new Pixel 6 device will be able to combine the advantages of software and hardware to improve image quality. Interestingly, XDA-Developers also discovered some new features that have never been seen on Pixel devices before.

In a certain version of the camera app that has flowed out of Google, XDA revealed that the Pixel 6 Pro model is equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens. In addition, sources who do not want to disclose their identities revealed that the machine also provides preset two-speed zoom options (0.7X and 1.0X).

It should be pointed out that because the leak originated from the unofficial version of the camera App, the above functions may not be factored into the final retail version of Pixel 6 hardware. Interested friends can move to the XDA-Developers website to view the complete code analysis and function introduction.
