Google recently releases Android 13 for the Pixel Phone with some features like a media player, cinematic wallpaper, Material You, and more. Now, the company releases the source code on the Android Open-Source Project (AOSP), which is the first custom ROM based on the latest version of Android. AOSP means it’s open source which anyone can modify. Google builds custom ROMs for Android 13 where users can custom/modify/ add some new functionality to it.
This source code of Android in AOSP means companies, individuals, and developers can access it. That means companies and custom ROMs developers work together with the latest version of Android and bring this feature to users soon.
The advantage to some phones from these custom ROMs based on Android 13:
- Motorola Moto G60 and Moto G40 Fusion are smartphones that take advantage of Android 13 version features which include launcher, backgrounds, icons, and fonts. If setting SELinux as forced, ROM will pass SafetyNet.
- These custom ROMs are also available for some other phones OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. For OnePlus devices, ROM has a modular base which means you can add more features later to it.
This ROM is stable, and the issue only here is due to the mobile data, and it happens often. If you have a smartphone from one of them mentioned above, you can update your phone to Android 13.
