Apple Watch Series 8 can detect or not Heart attacks?

Apple Watch Series 8 can detect or not Heart attacks

In the past week, some users encounter a Microphone issue in their Apple Watch Series 8. After that Apple inquire about this issue and said in the next Microphone issue will resolve. Now, Apple Watch Series 8  has the feature which let you measure your electrocardiogram (ECG) with the built-in ECG app. With this feature, you know about your heart rate at any time and also check if is it working properly or not.

This feature help in recording their usual heart rate so then they go for medical treatment. Cardiac Experts use all these details about the heart like irregularities that may be indicative of underlying issues like Atrial fibrillation (AFib).

Using Apple Watch Series 8 feature some users think that this can also detect heart attacks but that’s not possible. As per Apple’s support page clearly, this latest Apple watch is unable to detect a heart attack. Instead of this, they will call if a user experiences some symptoms like chest pain, pressure, or tightness, the company urges them to “call emergency services immediately.”

This watch only measures the irregular rhythm notification feature on the smartwatch and occasionally looks at your heartbeat to check for an irregular rhythm, which could be indicative of issues like AFib. You can enable this feature by heading to the Heart section of the Health app on your iPhone. Once enabled, you can enable/disable irregular rhythm notifications in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

It means this watch makes an update about your heart health. Unless the Apple Watch Series 8 offers support for a host of health tracking features, it’s not a medical device. As such, you should only use it for general guidance. Visit your physician if you’re not feeling well, even if your Apple Watch says everything looks fine.

At last, maybe this watch can’t detect heart attacks but it gives heart health updates from time to time when you use the ECG app. This feature really helpful and save the user from big trouble.
