Nowadays, most people like to make video calls to see their friends and family. There are so many video-calling apps in the market that have quite amazing features. Google also provides a Google Meet app, which is for personal calling and business conferences. Recently, Google announce at the Google Cloud Next ’22. They added the Google Meet feature for improving a person’s visibility while video calling.
Previously, because of the camera placement, some Google Meet participants were not visible clearly to others. Now, when users start video calling on Google Meet it automatically frames users’ video which helps in to be equally visible to each other.
This feature is only set once before the calling started because of this no distractions can trouble you while calling. If someone needs to reframe the video then he/she can reframe it at any time from the settings.

Getting started
- Admins: There is no admin control for this feature.
- End users: This feature will be OFF by default and can be enabled by the user. Visit the Help Center to learn more about turning video framing on or off for your account.
Rollout pace
- Rapid Release domains: Extended rollout (potentially longer than 15 days for feature visibility) started on October 14, 2022.
- Scheduled Release domains: Gradual rollout (up to 15 days for feature visibility) starting on November 2, 2022.
Availability
- Available to Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, Education Teaching, and Learning Upgrade, and Workspace Individual customers with eligible devices.
- Also available to Google One subscribers with 2TB or more storage space with eligible devices. Visit the Help Center to learn about device requirements for video framing.
- Not available to Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Education Fundamentals, Frontline, and Nonprofits, as well as G Suite Basic and Business customers.
- Not available to users with personal Google Accounts.
