Xiaomi has officially rolled out a new software update for Redmi 7 smartphone users Globally. It brings December 2020 security patch update for Redmi 7. This is still an Android 10-based UI update and not Android 11.
Talking about the December 2020 patch update for Redmi 7, it comes with firmware version V11.0.1.0.QFLMIXM, and weighs 2.5GB in size.
