Update – Supported Device: MIUI 12.5 closed beta 21.1.13 officially rolled out with new features

Xiaomi regularly releases its MIUI 12.5 closed beta to its selected devices and recently the company released MIUI 12.5 closed beta 21.1.12 to its devices and now the company officially rolled out MIUI 12.5 closed beta 21.1.13 with some optimizations.

The new beta update brings Knuckle shortcut gesture function, please enable knuckle gesture in the area screenshot, knuckle drawing letter V, Xiao Ai, and screenshot options. You can check the complete changelog which is mention below.

  • Xiaomi.eu ROM for Mi 10T Lite/Redmi Note 9 Pro SG (gauguin) with Android 11.
  • MIUI 12.5 update [Redmi Note 8]
  • Minor layout changes while turning Silent/DND mode on from volume bar
  • Updated Android Security Patch to January 2021 [Most of devices]
  • SafetyNet test failed for unrooted devices
  • Broken icons in certain apps, like Edge and Spotify [Android 11 devices]
  • Google Setup Wizard was showing on first boot instead of Mints initial setup
  • Custom actions in contextual text selection popups were missing [Android 11, and also Android 10 in certain apps]
  • The “Glow” charging animation was not working [Some Android 11 devices]
  • Due to error mentioned above wireless charging was not working while this animation was turned on
  • Unmute sound was playing from Quick settings/Control center even when disabled [Android 11 devices]
  • Weather info in the notification shade was not scaled properly with very small text sizes [Android 11 devices0]

WARNING FOR Mi 9 SE: After Android 11 update reboot to recovery causes reboot to Fastboot mode – TWRP disappears after the update. To do the update, boot your TWRP from fast boot mode, flash ROM and reboot to system. This update is suspended for Redmi Note 9 4G/Redmi 9T. It’s expected to get MIUI 12.5 update in mid-or-late January 2021, with the Android 11 update accordingly.

Note:

  • It is expected to be released before 18:00 today, some models have been released, thank you for your understanding
  • As the system stability is being tested, Mi CC 9e, Mi 9, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 9 Pro 5G, Redmi K30, Mi CC9 Pro will give the test results later, thank you for your understanding.
  • As we are investigating issues that may affect stability, Redmi Note 8 Pro is suspended today. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Due to the upgrade of the Android version, Redmi Note 9 4G will start to release MIUI12.5 in mid-to-late January 2021, thank you for your understanding
