Xiaomi continues to update its existing devices to the MIUI 12 version. Earlier, It was the Redmi Note 9 and now it’s time for the Redmi 9 and Redmi 9 Power smartphones to get it. The Redmi 9 and Redmi 9 Power Global and Indian variant of the phone is now receiving the latest MIUI version.
The MIUI 12 version is based on the Android 10 operating system. It was introduced back in April this year and offered to a wide range of devices over the past few months. This version comes with a host of improvements and new features for the added privacy of users. It also gives better control to the user over the kind of permissions accessed by various apps.

Talking about this update for Redmi 9 and Redmi 9 Power, it comes with firmware version MIUI V12.0.2.0.QJCMIXM & V12.0.4.0.QJQINXM or Redmi 9 and Redmi 9 Power respectively. The update gets the usual MIUI 12 design and animation changes along with increased system security.
