Xiaomi has started rolling out the January 2021 security patch update for the Redmi 9 device in Turkey and Global. This is still an Android 10-based UI update and not Android 11. The smartphones were launched last year. Since then two major MIUI updates and one Android firmware upgrade have been shipped.
Talking about this update for Redmi 9, it comes with firmware version V12.0.3.0.QJCMIXM for Global variant and V12.0.1.0.QJCTRXM for Turkey variant. The update gets the usual MIUI 12 design and animation changes along with increased system security. Xiaomi has already rolled out the MIUI 12 for the Redmi 9 in China.
