Galaxy M42 will be the first 5G phone in Samsung’s M series

As early as November last year, we saw the pages issued by several certification bodies about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy M42, which confirmed that this new device contains a 6000 mAh battery. Now, in a list of the Wi-Fi Alliance, the same device with the SM-M426B/DS model was also found.

This model is of great significance, because in the past the international version of 5G Samsung devices have the B/DS logo, which means that the M42 will also be a 5G mobile phone. This also means that M42 will be the first 5G member in the Galaxy M series.

The Wi-Fi Alliance certification itself does not provide any additional specification details for the M42, except that it has a dual-mode Wi-Fi connection. However, it can be confirmed that the operating system of this phone is Android 11 version.

We knew before that the M42 will be equipped with a 64MP main camera and a 32MP front camera. It is not yet known when Samsung will launch this phone.

Confusingly, SM-M426B also appeared on the Bluetooth SIG. There it appeared with SM-A426B, which is A42. Therefore, the M42 5G may be an A42 5G with a different design.

Of course, the specifications will be different from the 4G version of the M42. This sounds strange, but this is exactly what Samsung has done recently on the Galaxy A32. The device’s 4G and There are also many differences in 5G models.
