Xiaomi has started rolling out the February 2021 security patch update for the Redmi 9A device in China. This is still an Android 10-based UI update and not Android 11. The smartphones were launched last year.
Talking about the February 2021 patch update for Redmi 9A, it comes with firmware version MIUI V12.0.9.0.QCDCNXM, and weighs 2GB in size. The update gets the usual MIUI 12 design and animation changes along with increased system security. Xiaomi has already rolled out the MIUI 12 for the Redmi 9A in China.
MIUI 12 made its debut a few months back and is heralded as a fresh change from Xiaomi. In addition to offering the dark mode for all apps, the version gets new privacy features as well. The version is built over the Android 10 operating system.
