Galaxy Buds Pro true wireless headphones can replace traditional hearing aids to a certain extent

Samsung Electronics today announced a new study that shows that Galaxy Buds Pro true wireless headphones can even replace traditional hearing aid devices for people with mild and moderate hearing impairment.

It is reported that the research carried out by Samsung Medical Center has been published in the recently published medical journal “Otorhinolaryngology Clinical and Experimental Research”. In the three-parameter evaluation tests of electroacoustics, amplification, and clinical performance, Galaxy Buds Pro delivered an excellent answer sheet.

Neowin Pointed Out:

  • The electroacoustic evaluation aims to determine the output sound pressure level, frequency response range, equivalent input noise, and total harmonic distortion of the equipment;
  • The electroacoustic amplification evaluation tests the sound enhancement level of seven different frequencies;
  • The clinical performance evaluation test compares the changes in the subjects’ personal hearing and speech recognition ability before and after wearing them.

It turns out that in each test, the performance of Galaxy Buds Pro is amazing. Compared with when not wearing it, the individual’s voice and word recognition level has been significantly improved.

In addition, the Ambient Sound function of Galaxy Buds Pro is quite excellent. According to the official, Ambient Sound can effectively filter out noise while amplifying meaningful sounds by up to 20 decibels.

As for the headset body, it has a built-in 11mm low-frequency + 6.5mm high-frequency sound unit, which obviously also helps Galaxy Buds Pro to improve audio clarity. It should be pointed out that although Samsung’s own true wireless headphones are used in this evaluation, similar products made by other manufacturers should be able to achieve similar effects.
