Benchmarking Clubhouse, Slack CEO hints or will launch new audio features

According to reports, Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield said in a chat show hosted by former reporter and venture capitalist Josh Constine that Slack A service similar to Clubhouse is being built to allow users to immerse themselves in chat. This is the latest effort made by Slack outside of the field of work communication.

Butterfield said that Slack is currently being acquired by Salesforce for $27.7 billion, and the company is also developing a new feature that allows users to leave audio messages to others.

Two days before Butterfield announced the news, Slack also announced a new plan. The app will add a new communication feature that allows users to invite other users into the chat. After being abused by well-intentioned users, they suspended the program.

These moves show that although Slack is about to be acquired by Salesforce, the company has not stopped its development work. In addition, this also illustrates Butterfield’s attitude that Slack is not limited to the office sector.
