YouTube TV added a new feature on Friday, allowing users to find, watch and buy new YouTube movies without leaving the app. YouTube TV is one of the most popular Internet TV services on the market, with more than 85 channels, unlimited cloud DVR, and one of the simplest interfaces in all streaming media applications. In the past few years, its price has risen sharply, from $35 per month when it was launched in 2017 to $65 per month in 2020.

The addition of new channels is the driving force behind the increase in prices because every network hopes to get a share by joining the ever-growing channel library, but Google is also constantly adding new features to the service in the process.
For example, just a few weeks ago, a new store tab was added to the service’s TV app, allowing users to purchase new channels and bundled services for their accounts without having to organize a bunch of menus or log in on the browser. On Friday, this popular TV service added another convenience feature.

In a tweet on Friday, Google announced that YouTube TV users can now find all their YouTube movie purchases from within the app. Users will be able to find the new “Purchase” section in the “Content Library” tab of the TV app and mobile app, and these purchased movies can also be found in the “Recording and Purchase” in the “Content Library” tab of the browser client Medium visit. Anything users bought from YouTube will show up in this new section, as will anything synced with their Movies Anywhere account. Users can also search to find this purchased content.
In addition to allowing users to watch all the movies they previously purchased, YouTube TV will now also allow users to make in-app purchases. If a user searches for a movie on YouTube TV, he will see a list of the movie. From the list, the user can rent or buy from YouTube movies.
The user can start watching the movie right away, or you can leave the user in your content library and watch it at any time in the future. Google is turning YouTube TV into a one-stop service for streaming content. The goal here seems to be to emulate Apple’s success in Apple TV and the ecosystem it created.
