Raymond Z., product manager of OnePlus Watch, recently introduced the development concept and parameter information of the OnePlus Watch in the OnePlus Global forum and revealed that the watch is expected to support the Always-On screen display feature through an OTA upgrade in the future.
The product manager said that the current battery life of the smartwatch has the greatest impact on the experience, so the 402mAh large-capacity battery was selected during the development of the watch to ensure a battery life of up to 14 days. In addition, the watch chooses to use RTOS instead of Google’s Wear OS, the main purpose is to reduce power consumption and improve battery life.
Most of the current smartwatches use a 30fp s refresh rate screen. The product manager said that with the help of the technical team, the display effect of the OnePlus watch was optimized from the bottom to achieve a refresh rate of 50fps, which is smoother than peers.
