Apple and Qualcomm were sued for patent infringement

According to reports, Apple and Qualcomm have been sued, and the two companies have been accused of infringing a radio frequency calibration patent on certain 5G technologies they used. In addition, the lawsuit also aimed at the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, these two phones are used allegedly infringing 5G signal transceiver technology because they use Qualcomm’s modem 5G. Specifically, this lawsuit lists Qualcomm’s SMR526, SDR865 and SDX55M as infringing products.

The indictment shows that before using the technology, both Apple and Qualcomm were aware of the existence of the patent. In the case against Qualcomm, employees claimed that Qualcomm received at least three notices about the existence of the patent between 2008 and 2011.

Therefore, the plaintiff claimed that Apple and Qualcomm had always adopted knowingly, intentionally and maliciously infringing intellectual property rights. The lawsuit seeks a trial by a jury, prohibiting Apple and Qualcomm from continuing to infringe the patent and pay for intellectual property rights.
