In the US Samsung Galaxy Watch users getting the latest Tizen OS 5.5 update

Just like most other Samsung devices, the Galaxy Watch sports an Exynos processor. In this case, it is an Exynos 9110 SoC, which is a dual-core processor clocked at 1.15GHz. The Galaxy Watch comes in Bluetooth and LTE variants internationally, but Samsung has only launched Bluetooth versions of each in India. The Bluetooth version gets 768MB of RAM while the LTE variant has 1.5GB of RAM. We had the Bluetooth version for this review. Both variants have 4GB of internal storage, and we saw that there was only 1.5GB available for us to use.

Samsung is a well-known company to provides the latest software updates to its Wearable, smartphone, and other devices regularly. The company’s first-gen Galaxy Watch started getting a major firmware update in the United States, which brings the latest Tizen OS and a set of new features.

According to the Verizon support page, this new update for the Galaxy Watch users installs the Tizen OS 5.5 version. This update also adds Smart Reply is one of the newly added features that allow you to easily reply to the notifications through suggested messages.

FOLLOW THE STEPS TO UPDATE WATCH SOFTWARE USING THE PHONE

  • Launch Galaxy Wearable app.
  • Tap on Home > Watches software update.
  • Go to Download and install.
  • Hit Install now if an update is available.
