Microsoft and Google will help you out to fix key audio issues using Chrome in Windows 10

According to Google’s official announcement, its video platform YouTube receives hundreds of feedbacks about audio issues every day, 95% of which are unable to play audio when watching videos using the Chrome browser in Windows.

Google believes that there are three main reasons for audio problems:

  • A user accidentally muted YouTube
  • The output device has been changed (when the user uses two devices in the same audio connection)
  • Windows 10 driver problem

Google said in the announcement that it has worked with Microsoft and the YouTube team to solve the problem of silence when playing Youtube videos in Chrome. Microsoft also said that it has begun to study the problem so that Chromium kernel browsers (including Edge browser) can get rid of the problem.

In Chromium’s latest code submission, Microsoft has added application-level volume status notifications for Chromium. At the same time, Microsoft will improve the integration of Chromium and Windows’ built-in volume synthesizer. It is not clear when the repair will be completed or when this update will be released. Please be patient.
