DigiTimes: Huawei plans to launch three new foldable smartphones in the second half of 2021. Huawei just launched the Mate X2 in February this year. According to sources, Huawei may adopt more friendly pricing and is expected to target the entry-level market to stimulate demand and sales of foldable smartphones.
Other smartphone manufacturers, including Samsung Electronics and Asustek, may also launch new foldable models in the second half of this year. Digitimes Research estimates that due to the launch of new phones, global shipments of foldable smartphones may reach 7 million units in 2021, higher than the 2.8 million estimated a year ago.

According to data from Digitimes Research, the popularity of new foldable smartphones will also increase global shipments of AMOLED panels in foldable smartphones in 2021 from 4.4 million a year ago to 12 million.
