After the release of the Galaxy S21 series flagship smartphones at the beginning of the year, Samsung’s next big move may have to wait until the second half of 2021. However, before the arrival of Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, there are rumors that the company is planning to launch a new Fan Edition model to attract more young consumers. It is reported that the Galaxy S20 FE product line released by Samsung last year has received considerable praise. Based on this, the company may soon launch the Galaxy S21 FE model to continue to grab the market.

In order to help everyone better imagine what the Galaxy S21 FE looks like, as early as seven weeks ago, graphic designer Giuseppe Spinelli had already produced a series of renders for LetsGoDigital users. Now, based on all the information gathered in the recent period, the Dutch technology blog has joined hands with designer Jermaine Smit to share a set of the latest Galaxy S21 Fan Edition concept renders.

With reference to last year’s Galaxy S20 and S20 FE, it is expected that Samsung will still try to reduce costs on the screen specifications and back covers of the Galaxy S21 and S21 FE, such as changing to FHD+ resolution screens and plastic back covers. In terms of cameras, Galaxy S21 FE should not have changed much. Including the Infinity-P front camera opening in the middle of the screen, and the LED flash next to the rectangular rear camera module. In terms of body color, the designer predicts that there will be black, blue, green, pink, purple and other options.

Compared with last year’s S20 FE, S21 FE seems to retain the bottom SIM card slot design of the Galaxy S21 series, as well as the IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating. However, the screen size may be reduced from 6.5 inches to 6.4 inches AM OLED. Assuming that S21 FE supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz, it is unlikely to be an adaptive version on S21 Ultra, but the resolution of 1080×2400 may remain unchanged.

In terms of camera specifications, in order to meet the selfie needs of young consumer groups, the front camera of the S21 FE may be upgraded to 32MP (similar to last year). For comparison, the Galaxy S21/21+ models are only equipped with a 10MP front camera. Unfortunately, the rear camera specifications of the S21 FE are currently unknown, but they will definitely be improved on the basis of last year (S20 FE uses a 12MP wide-angle + 12MP ultra-wide-angle + 3X zoom lens combination).

In terms of processor, S21 FE may continue to use Exynos 2100 chipset, but it will also provide Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC in some market areas, supplemented by 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM/8GB RAM + 256GB ROM storage options (or no longer support microSD extension). In terms of battery, the S21 FE may continue to use the 4500 mAh capacity on the S20 FE and support 25W wired fast charging/15W wireless charging. However, due to the slightly smaller screen, battery life may be improved.

As for the power adapter and earphones in the package, they may be cut off-even though the Galaxy A52/A72 still comes with a charging head, the Galaxy S series seems more radical. In terms of price, S21 FE may again distinguish 4G/5G models. The dual version of S20 FE starts at 650/750 Euros (about 5076/5857 RMB), and it is unlikely to become more expensive.

Finally, Samsung may officially announce the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition at the Galaxy Unpacked conference held this summer (August), open the pre-order, and then start selling in the second half of the month.
