Apple iPhone 13 will use f1.5 7P wide-angle lens

Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Guo issued a report saying that the latest industry survey showed that the number of coating equipment and mold costs that Apple is currently delivering to Sunny Optical is lower than expected. I believe that Apple and Sunny Optical’s cooperation has slowed down for some time.

The report predicts that Sunny Optical will still start shipping iPhone lenses in the second half of 2021, but the proportion of f1.5 7P wide-angle lens orders for iPhone 13 in 2021 may be less than 3%. The report points out that thanks to the iPhone 13, Largan and Yujingguang are expected to have significant HoH (half-year growth rate) growth in the second half of 2021.

Among them, Largan is the main supplier of high-end lenses for iPhone 13. Yujingguang has been a new supplier of telephoto lenses since iPhone 13. In the past, the proportion of Kantatsu’s telephoto lenses was about 10%, and Yujingguang is expected to obtain a higher proportion of telephoto lens orders (about 20%-30%).

Guo Mingchi stated in the report that Largan and Yujingguang are currently cooperating with Apple to develop AR/MR HMD lenses for the second quarter of 2022 and 48MP high-end lenses for the new iPhone in the second half of 2022.
