Yesterday, Apple released the 1st beta version of the new iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 updates to developers. Today, Apple released the public beta. If the user is already using the release candidate of iOS 14.5, Apple has added a new feature that makes it easy for users to choose to upgrade to the new iOS 14.6 beta or stay on the release track. Users will see the update listed in a new Also available section.
It is not known what the iOS/iPadOS 14.6 update contains, and no new features were found in the developer beta released yesterday. Apple may add new features to iOS 14.6 in a future beta, or it may focus on bug fixes. Apple has also released the public beta version of tvOS 14.6, which can be switched by opening the settings application on Apple TV, navigating to the software update section under “System”, and then registering for the test on Apple’s public testing website.
