Galaxy Z Fold 3’s rear three-camera is not upgraded, it is still 12MP

According to the latest news, a leaker posted on Twitter recently, detailing the camera information of Samsung’s upcoming foldable phone Galaxy Z Fold 3. The leaker said that this phone will continue to be equipped with three 12-megapixel rear cameras, with only a slight upgrade to the front camera specifications.

The leaker said that the external front camera of the new mobile phone was upgraded to a 16MP sensor, using Sony IMX298, with a pixel size of 1.12 microns; the front camera of the internal folding screen was 10 million pixels, using a Sony IMX374 sensor with a pixel size of 1.22 microns.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 currently on sale by Samsung is equipped with three rear cameras, of which the ultra-wide-angle is F2.2 aperture; the main camera is F1.8 aperture, supporting OIS anti-shake and PDAF focusing; the telephoto lens is F2.4 aperture. In addition, both the internal and external screens of the mobile phone have proactive shots with 10 million pixels and an F2.2 aperture.

Since most of the current Android phones use 48MP or even 108MP main cameras, the camera specifications of Samsung’s new folding-screen phones will not satisfy consumers. However, the news has not been confirmed, and foreign media cannot guarantee the authenticity of the news.

According to previous news, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be equipped with 2215mAh+2060mAh dual batteries, manufactured by Samsung SDI. The total capacity has shrunk compared to the previous generation, but the phone will be thinner and lighter.
