StatCounter Report: Google Chrome continues to grow, while the rest all decline

StatCounter recently announced the browser market statistics for April 2021. Google Chrome became the only browser that maintained growth in April, with a share of 67.55%.

Data Display:

  • Google Chrome browser increased from 67.14% in March to 67.55% in April, ranking first;
  • Apple’s Safari browser dropped from 10.11% in March to 9.85% in April, ranking second;
  • Microsoft Edge browser dropped from 8.03% in March to 7.96% in April, ranking third;
  • The Firefox browser dropped from 7.95% in March to 7.78% in April, ranking fourth.

Google Chrome released a major version of 90 updates in April, adding the AV1 codec, and supporting a series of improvements such as window renaming. In addition, Microsoft Edge browser recently released the Beta version of the Linux platform, which is expected to get rid of the downward trend.
