Similar to the Pixel series phones, the back of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will only use a two-color design. The black area at the top will be equipped with a 1.83-inch screen in addition to the camera. After unfolding, Z Flip 3 provides a 6.7-inch flexible screen. The Full HD+ resolution will still be maintained, but the refresh rate can reach 120Hz. In this way, the display effect of moving images will be better, and the high refresh rate will also come in handy when scrolling and gaming. A punch-hole camera will still be used on the screen, and it is speculated that the same 10MP image sensor will be used.

However, Samsung seems to have another focus on the Galaxy Z Flip 3: durability. The previous Flip was praised for its ultra-thin glass technology-through the application of ultra-thin bendable glass, the screen’s scratch resistance is significantly higher than Samsung’s first folding phone Galaxy Fold. For the first time, a brush mechanism is built into the hinge, which can prevent dust and dirt from accumulating and make the hinge more rigid.
This time, Samsung seems to have given extra attention to strengthening the frame and the screen. Last month, LetsGoDigital discovered several trademarks Armor Frame, Armor Skin, Armor Layer and finally Pro-Shield applied by Samsung Electronics. These are marketing terms and are likely to be used by Samsung to give meaning to the enhanced frame and extra scratch-resistant screen.
As for the screen, Samsung will also provide Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for the Z Flip 3, whether on the front or back. This supplement will also help make the smartphone have additional scratch and drop resistance.
