Windows version of Chrome browser will usher in a new sharing center

In the next version update of the Windows version of the Chrome browser, Google will simplify the sharing experience of URLs through a feature called “Sharing Hub”. It can be seen from the recent Chromium code submission that the Chrome Canary early adopters channel has already introduced this feature first. Unlike Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome has been lacking an appropriate sharing menu before, which has made many users feel a little frustrated.

On Windows 10, users will be able to use the sharing UI built into the operating system to share Microsoft Edge content between different devices and applications. The good news is that the new version of Google Chrome also introduces a new sharing center for Windows 10 users. When the user clicks the + icon, you can see it on the address bar.

Interested friends can turn on this hidden mark through the following operations:

  • Install Chrome Canary
  • Go to Chrome://flags
  • Find Desktop Sharing Hub
  • Check and enable the desktop sharing center in the multi-function address bar’
  • Restart the browser.

After that, you can click on the address bar when opening any webpage, and then see this new “+” icon, as well as a variety of drop-down sharing options-copy link / QR code / save web page/post. The QR code can be quickly shared to another mobile phone or tablet by scanning, and the web page save function (select only HTML web page/full page resource) can be downloaded for offline viewing after it is completed.

As for the delivery feature, you can send the current tab or the entire Chrome window to the connected device. Finally, Google is also exploring its sharing UI to support Windows 10.
