On February 5, 2021, the Cantonese function of Xiao Ai on Xiaomi TV was officially launched, and two-way conversations are also available. Xiaomi stated that it has deeply optimized more than 20,000 sentences of common speech that conform to the Cantonese culture, and has carried out a special optimization of speech recognition for Cantonese scenes. Xiao Ai used the Cantonese speech synthesis technology provided by Guangzhou Shensheng Technology Co., Ltd., and the accuracy rate is much higher than the overall level of the industry.

At present, Xiaomi has not announced the specific model and App version number for the upgrade of the Cantonese language function for Xiao Ai students.
