Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will be equipped with Wear OS

Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch will undergo major changes this year, not only in design and features, but Samsung is also preparing to change the operating system from Tizen to Android (Wear OS). It is said that Samsung’s new smartwatch may have up to three versions and will retain more classic design elements. The development code names of these versions are Wise, Fresh and Lucky. Two of them are Active versions, which will provide elements for sports design, while Wise has a classic appearance design and rotating dial design.

In addition, although Samsung is preparing to replace it with the Wear OS system, it is also One UI 3.x, a brand new version of One UI designed by Samsung for wearable devices. In other respects, the new watch also includes features such as SmartThings, but the interface will be updated to make it easier to use.

It’s worth mentioning that one of the new features is similar to a walkie-talkie, which can help users send short voice messages to friends. Apple Watch had similar functions before. According to previous reports, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 does not have a blood glucose monitoring feature, and Samsung will push it when the technology matures.

The Galaxy Watch 4 is likely to be unveiled together with new folding screen smartphones, which means that we may see Samsung launch a bunch of new products in one go in July.
