Microsoft Surface Duo officially supports Xbox Game Pass games

Microsoft announced that the Android version of the Xbox Game Pass application now officially supports Surface Duo and its unique dual-screen settings. Microsoft has been testing the Game Pass Beta app for Android for several weeks, but now the feature is ready.

Xbox Game Pass is supported on the Surface Duo, allowing players to play more than 50 games on the Surface Duo with a dedicated touch controller. Unlike ordinary smartphones, these touch controls will appear on the bottom display so that your fingers will not interfere with the game you are playing, just like on the Nintendo DS or other popular handheld game consoles.

Microsoft also said that Xbox Game Cloud (xCloud) developers can further adjust their games to take advantage of Surface Duo’s other unique form factors, including support for a wider 3:2 aspect ratio, column layout, and more.

Xbox Game Pass support for Surface Duo is now available, and when you cross the application on two screens, it will automatically adapt to support. Of course, not all games now support touch control, but Microsoft is constantly adding support for new games.

Interestingly, Xbox Game Pass is one of the few Android apps from Microsoft that is not pre-installed on Surface Duo. This means you must download it from the Google Play Store to take advantage of this new support.
