Redmi Note 8 2021 equipped with Helio G85 processor goes official

Redmi Note 8 2021 has been launched on Redmi’s Global official website. The configuration and appearance have been announced, but the price has not yet been announced. As the name suggests, Redmi Note 8 2021 is an updated version of the first-generation Redmi Note 8 in 2019, which has sold more than 25 million units worldwide.

Redmi Note 8 2021 is equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G85 chipset, runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, and has a splash-proof nano-coating. Except for the decrease in the maximum resolution of the main camera video capture (from 4K 30fps to 1080P 30fps), the rest is basically unchanged.

Redmi Note 8 2021 also has only two storage versions, both of which have 4GB of memory, and the storage is 64GB or 128GB. The color scheme has also been reduced, with only three (less than the original five): Neptune Blue, Moonlight White and Space Black.

The other configurations are exactly the same. It uses a 6.3-inch 1080×2340 LCD touch screen with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a quad rear camera system (48MP main camera + 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera + 2MP macro + 2MP depth), a 13MP selfie camera, a rear fingerprint sensor, and a 4000 mAh battery that supports 18W charging (a 22.5W charger is included in the package).
