Samsung disappointed experiment with S21 Ultra failed

Samsung has changed things radically this year, bringing the S Pen to the Galaxy S line of devices and more specifically to the flagship Galaxy S21 Ultra. Everyone thought that this marked the end of the Galaxy Note series, although the company later confirmed that this is not the case.

Now, we probably know the reason why Samsung has not completely ruled out the arrival of a new Note. According to tipster Tron on Twitter, Samsung is in talks to bring the Galaxy Note series back next year, because the market response to the S21 ultra with the S Pen is not what the company expected.

Although the S21 Ultra is the only phone in the series that supports the S Pen, its implementation is not the best. Initially, there is no place on the smartphone for the stylus, and the device is not compatible with any S Pen Bluetooth feature. Contrary to what Tron claims, Samsung recently announced that it saw increased sales of flagship devices in the first quarter of the year while calling the S21 series excellent.

Although the company has not mentioned specific sales for the different models in the series, the basic S21 model is the device with the most sales in its particular homeland. It accounted for 52% of total Galaxy S21 device sales in South Korea in March. It was accompanied by the S21 Ultra, which, according to Samsung, was responsible for 27% of the series’ sales in the same market.

The global picture will be similar to what is happening in Korea, or it may be very different as the tipster claims. However, the good news for Note series fans is that the experiment to bring the S Pen to the Galaxy S series and its outcome may push the company to create a better phablet smartphone next year.
