Unity 2021.2 technical update version is now open for download in Unity Hub, adding Chrome OS, Android AAB support. Unity stated that the Unity 2021.2 technical update version supports Chrome OS in the Android environment. Unity will support Chrome OS devices with x86, x86–64 and Arm architectures. In addition, developers can also construct their own input control schemes to use keyboard and mouse or analog controllers.
In the new version, Unity will directly support the use of the new Android extension file format Android App Bundle (AAB) to build resources. Developers can use the AAB format that complies with Google Asset Delivery regulations to publish applications to Google Play.
