Emojis that may be added to Unicode 14.0 in September include Let me see, Salute face, etc.

According to the news, the Unicode Consortium is preparing to approve the next batch of emojis to be launched. Here is what you can see later this year. World Emoji Day is coming soon, and some users may be curious about which emoji will be added to Unicode 14.0 in September. Although the draft will be finalized in September, most platforms will not start rolling out support until the end of 2021 or early 2022.

The Unicode draft list contains dozens of new emojis. Many of the proposed emojis are simple gestures such as palm up, the hand with index finger and thumb crossed, and index finger pointing to the viewer. In addition, the handshake emoji that used to have only universal emojis—yellow skin color, will now provide the ability to customize the color of handshake hands.

Gender inclusiveness will also be a high priority, and the crowned person has been added to the draft list to complete the existing prince and princess emojis. Some new content will also be added to the face of the universal round emoji. In addition, there may be emojis such as melting face, saluting face, peeking face (let me see), etc.

As usual, there will be a considerable number of clutter emojis. The draft list includes:

  • Beans
  • Bubble
  • Coral
  • Crutch
  • Empty Nest
  • Hand of Fatima
  • ID card
  • Jar
  • Lotus
  • Low battery
  • Small spherical mirror
  • Bird’s nest with eggs
  • Playground slide
  • Watering liquid
  • Ring Bouy
  • Troll

Again, this is just a draft list, so some emojis may not be selected. However, historically, many emojis on the draft list eventually made their way into the release version. Moreover, Apple’s designers will have their own views on these themes. In 2020, Apple has added 117 new emojis, including bubble tea, boulders, feathers, ninjas, mirrors and pinata emojis.
