According to Tesla’s official website in the United States, the prices of Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y have both increased by $1,000. After the price adjustment, the Model 3 long-life version starts at US$49,990, compared to US$48,900 before; the Model Y long-life version starts at US$53,990, which was previously US$52,900, and the estimated delivery date is no longer visible.

since March, Tesla has raised prices twice a month. Elon Musk previously stated on Twitter that the main reason for Tesla’s price increase is the supply chain pressure and raw material costs of the entire industry. In a recent earnings conference call for Tesla, Musk said that Tesla has experienced supply chain challenges.

In March of this year, due to a shortage of chips, Tesla’s factory in Fremont, California, USA was closed for two days, but Musk said that Tesla has basically gotten rid of these special problems. In order to lock the supply chain, Tesla is considering buying the chip factory and solving the problems caused by the core shortage through acquisitions.

The Financial Times quoted people familiar with the industry as saying that Tesla may pay chip fees in advance to ensure the company’s continuous supply of materials and is actively negotiating capacity supply with chip manufacturers such as TSMC.
