Google clarifies that the new version of its operating system for handheld devices will be called Wear OS 3. In fact, it now gives the list of smartwatches that will support it and can get it. Google Wear OS 3 will debut on August 11, as part of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, where the new Samsung smartwatch will be presented, the first that will not wear a new version of Tizen, but that version of Wear OS, for which Google and Samsung have worked together.
What Google announces is that the update to Wear OS 3 will be available for TvWatch Pro 3 GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 Cellular/LTE, TicWatch E3 from Mobvoi, along with all Fossil Group devices. On all devices that become available as an update to Wear OS 3, this is expected to happen in the second half of 2022, so we are still far from there.
