Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series will premiere in September 2022

According to the latest report, one of Amazon’s most anticipated original works so far-the unnamed Lord of the Rings original series will be officially unveiled on Prime Video on Friday, September 2, 2022. With the determination of the premiere date, Amazon Studios released the first official image of the upcoming series, which is set in the second era of Middle-earth.

The plot of the drama will take place thousands of years before the events recorded in JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books. It will follow familiar and new characters who will face the long-awaited evil that reappeared in Middle-earth.

The release of the pictures is related to the production and finishing of the series after shooting in New Zealand. Fans quickly speculated that the show will be set in Villino because the picture appears to be the double sacred tree of Villino.

This unnamed project is a huge investment by Amazon in its Prime Video streaming service. According to reports, the first season of the series alone spent about 465 million U.S. dollars to produce. For Amazon Studios, this series is a huge creative work. In contrast, the final season of Game of Thrones is said to cost up to $15 million per episode (although its budget was initially around $5 million per episode).

The main actors of the series include Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Tristan· Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyrone Muhafidin (Tyrone Muhafidin), Sophia Nomvete (Sophia Nomvete), Lloyd Owen (Lloyd Owen), Megan Richards (Megan Richards), Dylan Smith ( Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman and Sara Zwangoba Nepal (Sara Zwangobani). JD Payne and Patrick McKay are currently producing the show.

As Bilbo said, Now I think I am ready for another trip, Payne and McKay said in a joint statement. Living and breathing in Middle-earth these months is the most important adventure of life. We can’t wait to give fans the opportunity to do the same.

The series will premiere in more than 240 countries and regions when it launches on Prime Video next year.
