The Instagram team is working on a new feature that, after the arrival of news related to advertisers, is ready to improve the search function within the Explore tab. Some users, in fact, have begun to notice the possibility of searching for audio clips within the Explore tab following a classic search. As you can see in the image below shared on Twitter, the search query ocean away offers the opportunity to search for all the video Reels in which that specific song is present.
The basic idea of Instagram is obviously to provide its users with one more excuse to continue watching Reels videos on the application, in this case showing the multimedia contents where the searched audio clip is available. The arrival of the functionality, according to some, is the answer to the Sound tab also available on TikTok, a sign that the two companies continue to challenge each other by adding exclusive or borrowed features such as, for example, the arrival of the Stories on the social network by ByteDance.
It is unclear whether the audio clips within the Explore tab are linked to a server-side update, but in any case we recommend that you install the latest version of the application via the Play Store.
